Project Overview


Light & Green, a leading manufacturer of architectural L.E.D plaster light fixtures. I worked as the lead UX Designer to update their website. The goal was to feature their innovative new product line, SWAP, while maintaining brand consistency and enhancing the user experience.

The Challenge


My task was to create an engaging online presence for SWAP, generating excitement for its launch at CEDIA EXPO 2024.

Key Challenges included:

  • Tight Timeline: The launch needed to be completed within two weeks, with a deadline of September 5th, 2024.
  • Content Integration: Two promotional videos and a product catalog were available but required editing for web use.
  • Award Recognition: The website needed to effectively highlight SWAP's status as a finalist for the CEDIA EXPO 2024 "Best New Product" award.
  • User Journey: It was essential to create a clear and engaging path for visitors to explore SWAP's features and easily inquire about products.
  • Brand Consistency: The new SWAP section had to align with Light & Green's existing brand identity while standing out as a flagship offering.

The Solution


To tackle these challenges, I implemented a strategic approach that included:

  • Information Architecture: I restructured the homepage and product page to prominently feature SWAP, creating a dedicated section with embedded promotional videos.
  • Engaging Notifications: Designed a dismissible banner notification for both the homepage and the product page to highlight key information.
  • Clear Calls-to-Action (CTAs): Added an "Explore SWAP" button that directs users to the  product page for inquiries and catalog exploration.

I created high fidelity designs in Figma.                   The redesigned website for SWAP has demonstrated encouraging initial results, even with limited comprehensive data available due to its recent launch. Early feedback suggests that the new design is effectively connecting with visitors and clearly conveying SWAP's value proposition. This positive reception is particularly promising, as it indicates that the redesign has successfully aligned with SWAP's strategic objectives and improved communication of key product benefits. By achieving these crucial goals, the redesigned website has established a robust foundation for SWAP's upcoming launch and positioned the product for future market success.
